It's Back to School We Go!

Wow! Is summer over already? I remember when school didn't start until Sept. and we still got out in May! Oh well. With it as hot as it is outside, they were ready to have something to do again and to see all of their friends. I snapped a few pictures of the kids in their "first day of school outfits". I wish their enthusiasm would last the whole year!!!

Van is 6!

Van turned 6 on June 28th. It's hard to believe. What a joy he is to our family. He definitely has a personality all his own. There is never a dull moment when he's around.
I made him breakfast in bed. Waffles-his favorite.
Beacause we have been on the go so much this summer, we just had a small party with our family but promised we would have a bigger one later. With everyone leaving town for the summer, I haven't been able to get many of his friends who are in town all at once. Oh well, maybe he'll forget!
This is the 3-D slip n slide he'd been begging me for for months. What a waste of money! Very pricey but not any better than the cheap ones. Oh well. The things we do to put a smile on our kids faces!
Happy Birthday, Vanny. We love you!!!

Easter Weekend

What a fun-filled weekend we had! Friday night, we went with our friends Tyler and Kristen Robison to a Diamondbacks game. Even though I do love to go to baseball games, Kristen and I spent most of the time chatting. We were playing against LA, which is one of Josh's favorite teams, but he decided he would go ahead and wear his Diamondbacks hat to the game. We endend up winning 9-4. Go Diamondbacks!!!

Saturday, little league was rained out (woo hoo), so we spent the day with the Robison's swimming. In the evening we went out for Sushi. It's so nice when your kids get old enough to babysit themselves!!!

This is Van and Bliss Robison. We kept teasing Van that he was going to marry Bliss when he grew up. He didn't think it was so funny!

It's not a party until someone needs stitches! The guys were ready to take Van into their office and stitch him up but luckily we found some liquid bandage to put on it. I'm hoping it does the job. It has popped open a couple of times, but it seems to be getting better. We still don't know what he cut it on. Something in the pool?!

We had a good Easter Sunday. Josh always takes the kids out to look for the Easter bunny and I wait at home to see if he comes while they're gone. For some strange reason, he always does! This was Bentley's first year to wait at home with Mom!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

Well, baseball season is officially here! Bentley is in the majors on the Rockies and Van is playing T-ball on the Tigers. They are both having a blast, but with two boys playing at the same time, and a daughter doing gymnastics and volleyball, I have been spread pretty thin these last few weeks. They are both doing great. It always amazes me, though, how serious some of these parents are. I mean, come on, they're kids!!! It's supposed to be fun! Luckily, my boys both have coaches who don't put a lot of pressure on them. Only a month left!(not that I'm counting)

On opening day, all the teams in the league got to introduce themselves.

In T-ball, every kid get's a chance to bat in each inning and since Van is number 11, he is last to bat and so he gets to run all the bases after he hits the ball. He thinks he gets a homerun everytime!!!

Goodbye Elvis

After months of searching, we finally found a good home for Elvis. We will miss him but know he will enjoy his new friends. He will have a Bull Mastiff and a Boxer to play with.....and a yard the size of a football field.

Chico is Elvis' new brother.

Is It Just My Kids?

With 2 other televisions in the house, this is where the my little ones always end up. Is it just my kids?

Bentley turns 11

Bentley LOVES breakfast so I thought the perfect way for him to start his birthday was to have breakfast in bed.

He had about 15 of his friends go bowling with him. It was a lot of fun!

Bentley is officially an 11 year old Boy Scout. A milestone for him but it makes me feel old!

Grandpa Haws' Visit

My dad came to Arizona for the funeral of a family friend. We'll take what we can get because we don't get to see him that often, or anyone else from back home for that matter. I made sure everyone was ready for church a bit early so I could get some pictures. It is a known fact in my family that for some reason, my dad's eyes are always closed in pictures. I guess it still holds true! We had a great visit. The kids love their grandpa. Come back soon!
